Setup:

1x Alcatel Speedtouch 570 ADSL router (with wireless capability)
1x Dell Inspiron Laptop, Windows 98, WaveLan card
1x PC desktop, Windows XP, WaveLan kaart
1x iBook, OSX, Airport enabled

Problem :

After successfully configuring the 2 pc's on ADSL, the ibook can't connect though Airport gives a nice full signalbar, so I ASSUME it sees the Speedtouch.

How do I make the ibook connect to the wireless speedtouch modem so it can also connect to the internet?

Help !

Try turning off MAC address filtering (or adding the iBook's Airport's address to the list) on the router.

it nowhere specifically states this router is airport compatible, though it relies on the same techniques.

could this be the problem?

Any 802.11b device (which is what this looks like) should work with Airport. Any luck with the MAC addresses?
