I just started using FurtherNet (furhternet.org) to download live music from (and don't turn this into an ethics of music-sharing debate, this is completely legitimate and legal) and it says in the preferences panel that it can improve the number of results and download success if I open port 9548. Since I'm getting virtually no results now, I figured it's worth a shot. Can anybody tell me how to do this?

i am not sure if this will work or not but hey, it is worth a try.

open airport admi and then configure your base station.
go to show all settings.
go to port mapping.
add.
public port put in 9548.
private address put in your ip.
private port put in 9548.

and see if that worked. or maybe i should be going to sleep now
