Hello,
I just ordered my new powerbook and it will be my first mac. I am a network system administrator, so I know technical details, but one think I do not understand about how macs work is the printing subsystem. I am currently using an HP LaserJet 2100 hooked to the lpt port on my D-Link DI-713P wireless router/print server. I want to use this printer with my new mac (especially with the wireless network). How do I do so!?

Thanks
Nathaniel

Chances are very, very good that AppleTalk will not bridge to that port. I do not know of ANY device that does this. AppleTalk makes setting up a printer ridiculously simple, but it is not mandatory. On the Mac (OS X.x), go to Print Center (in Utilities folder). Click Add button in printer list. Select IP Printing as the connection method from the pop-up list. Then you'll just need to add the IP of the router it is plugged into. If this fails, try changing the queue name to lp (lower case LP)
