I need to get a router to hook up my dual 1ghz MDD G4, a Mandrake 9 Linux machine, and the cable modem. I'm thinking about getting the LinkSys BEFSX41 EatherFast Cable/DSL router. Is this compatable with these machines?

Any cable/dsl router on the market is going to be compatible with any device that uses the ethernet standard, at least on the hardware level. Your question should probably have been "can I configure the router with these machines." Yes, you can, since the BEFSX41, and just about all current routers, uses a browser interface to configure it.
