I've got a 12" PB with AE and use the Linksys 54g wireless router. Everythings working well and I'd rather not tempt fate if I don't need to. I get upto 3MB/Sec transfers from my desktop which is attached to the router through ethernet.

Is there any benefit to installing Airport 3.0 on the PB?
