I just received my Airport Extreme Base and need to hook up with the 2Wire Homeportal 1000 dsl modem as my wireless base. Has anyone try this set up before? I could not get it to work if I connect the dsl modem to my AP Extreme base.

My SBC Yahoo! ADSL currently has the 2Wire HomePortal 1000 as the dsl modem. Now, I heard they both are DHCP server and
both have NAT Firewall built-in. Would this cause conflicts? Is there any ways to disable one? Or, any other solutions?

Thanks for any help.

How does the modem connect to the base? You want this to be ethernet, not USB. You want only one NAT/DHCP server for your LAN. Is there some way to config the modem? If so look for these options and disable them.
