Here is the layout:
I have a 17" PB and a WinXP PC. The PB connects wirelessly (using the AEBS as a bridge) to my Speedstream router. The PC is also connected to the router. The router is in turn connected to my DSL modem. I also have a HP v40 printer hooked up to the USB port on the AEBS. The IP addresses are as follows: router(192.168.254.254), AEBS(192.168.254.4), PB(192.168.254.3), PC(192.168.254.2)

Here is the dilemma (sp?):
I can ping the PB from the PC and can even use the printer on IP 192.168.254.4. I CANNOT ping the PC from the PB. However, I can ping the AEBS and the router from the PB. I've tried disabling all the firewalls on both computers to no avail. The mac just doesn't want to recognise that the PC is on the network. Both computers are set up to fileshare also. What is the deal?

sorry, couldn't resist. as a new Mac user, the only thing i can think of is making sure the network prefs on the mac have the windows file sharing turned on. Probably a stupid thing to say, you probably already done that. i had similar problems with the wrireless stuff, but in dealing with getting the a wireless PC notebook to get on the net. good luck...

You may need to have something on the PC shared before it shows up or is pingable. Review the PC's network settings to make sure it's not refusing pings for some reason (firewall, etc.) as well. If you can ping from the PC, you know the network connection for it works, so it's just something about the PC that's not quite right.
