Hey there. Im brand spanking new to networking, so I need some help here. Im trying to set up a network with my three home Macs: a rev.B G3/266 running Jag 10.2.5, a Umax C600 running 9.1, and a Power Mac 5400 running 8.6. I have a 10/100Base-T hub (although I know Ill be limited to 10Mbps) and enough ethernet cable to cover them. So heres what Im looking to do:

Setting up Jag to be a File/Internet Server is cake. Click on Network Prefs, set up TCP/IP using DHCP. Click on Sharing Prefs, turn on Personal File Sharing and Internet Sharing. But thats where the ease is over.

I want to set the Umax up to:
1) log onto the File Server (once its on, I can probably figure out how to set up the 5400); and
2) be a Print Server. (Theres no Jag drivers for my Epson Stylus Photo EX, and a serial-to-USB cable that actually works is too freaking expensive.)

Any tips?

Thanks!

Well, the Umax and 5400 can see the file server, but I?m still unable to share my internet connection or the printer.

Help!

You might want to check out PortShare by Stalker Software for the printer sharing. They may even be able to get you going on the InterNet sharing, depending on your network topology.
