Going to be spending a few weeks at my buddy's place till I am ready to move into my new place, and I was hoping to use his internet connection. He has a prewired T1, and so he just plugs his PC right into that ethernet connection.

Neither of us have a router, and don't really feel like spending any money on it.

My question is, he has a 2nd NIC (actually both are onboard). Is it possible to somehow connect my powermac to that nic and be able to share the internet connection?

Would I need a "crossover" cable or would it be auto-recognized? What settings would I need to change on each computer? Sorry, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to things, so I come here to ask you, the smart ones!

EDIT: PC is running XP, my mac is running X.2.5

you'll need to turn on internet connection sharing on the pc (somewhere in the network options of the control panel). i think it's pretty self-explanatory once you find the option - unfortunately i can't remember any hints right now :c)
