I just reset my AEBS to factory defaults and set it up using the Airport setup assistant. From what I understand the AEBS has a built in firewall, so I ran a dslreports.com port scan on my base station. I use PPPoE with Verizon to connect to the internet, so right now my setup consists of 1 PowerBook G4 with Airport and the base station with the DSL modem plugged into the wan port (I've disconnected the lan/switch to simplify this for now). I've noticed the lights blink a lot indicating some sort of network activity, so I ran a port scan. These are the results:

It looks like it's broadcasting BOOTP/DHCP and SNMP over the wan port/internet. What can I do to disable these services and make these ports not available to the public wan port (the internet)? Is this a security concern or nothing to worry about? Thanks!

I'd say that the open ports are indeed a security problem. Somewhere in the AEBS setup (where, I don't know) there should be options to open or close various ports. It looks like everything was "stealthed", with two ports being changed to "closed" and the three in question simply opened. Right now I can't find the documentation on the AEBS or the AirPort software to even begin to look it up.
