Hi,

In time I'm going to be upgrading my Pismo to a wireless connection with an airport card and base station, but I haven't got a clue as to what it all means and what sort of connection speed I'l get, and would love any info on it and if anyone could answer a few questions I've got.
At the moment I'm using an Alcatel ADSL USB modem to connect to the web which gives me really good speeds. Now, would I stiull get the same download/upload speeds when I switch to wireless?
Is it a simple case of putting the airport card into the pismo and plugging the alcatel modem into the base station and away I go?

And, what alternatvies to Apple's base station are out there and what would you all recommend from experience.

Apologies for sounding so dumb in all of this.
Cheers for any help anyone can offer
