Can I plug a USB hub into my Airport and put more than one printer on it? I have both a photo printer and a laser printer that I would like to print to.

I know this is an old post, but I was just searching around, but couldn't find an answer. I'd like to know the same thing. Does anybody know if this is possible?

I also have a second question. Does anybody have any experience using an HP LaserJet 1200 with the Base Station's print server?

I also would like to know....

I would start another topic, but have a related question if anybody who answered the first is knowledgable:

I have:
1. new Powerbook with airport and OS10.3 and aiport base station
2. G3 OS9.2 tower
3. new Epson C84 printer
4. 1-year old Epson 1600 scanner
5. new maxtor external hard drive

Question:
How can I use airport to wirelessly print (can do this already), scan and access hardrive from my powerbook, as well as use the older desktop with all these peripherals as well?

Can I scan and access external HD wirelessly, even if i had them hooked up?? I tried plugging scanner alone into airport and had no luck:-(

A usb hub would seem in order, but I would need a male/male usb cable to connect hub to airport basestation?? Or do I need anotehr piece of ahrdware to truly network everything together?

Thanks

Answer is no. You cannot use a hub with the Airport Extreme basestation. Single printer only.

I am having trouble using the shared USB printer on my airport network from OSX.

SPECS:

HP952C USB printer connected to:

PowerMac Beige G3 minitower (233/448/OS 9.2.2) connected to:

Original Mac Airport Basestation with modem via ethernet

+

Powerbook 12" aluminum (867/640/OS 10.2.8) connects via airport.

DETAILS:

The Classic OS9 on the powerbook is capable of printing to the HP952 via the wireless network, utilizing USB printer sharing control panels on both computers and the chooser on the laptop.

All other forms of AppleTalk and Wireless connectivity seem to work just fine on the laptop and OSX, however I am unable to "see" the printer and print to it only from the X side.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

joseph
