I bought an Airport Extreme a few weeks ago and finally got around to setting it up. I have a 12" PB and the reception in my apartment is terrible. I get about 15-20ft away from it with two walls in between and there is I lose reception. Is this really the case with the Base station? Should I place it more centrally in the apartment?

Thanks.

Keep in mind that since you live in apartment, other people in your building may have items (2.4ghz phones, x10 cams, etc) that may be interfering with your airport.

I have several ABS, and the only problems I have had with them is when I had to deal with interference...

hope this helps...

I live in a detatched house, with neighbours relatively far away, with the Airport in the middle of the house groundfloor, I get good strength all around the building - including in the basement studio - and there are a lot of heavy walls around, as it is pretty old with thick stone walls and an extension, so some internal walls were once external.

So to cut short my tedious architectural ramblings short, probably your neighbours interfering with ya.
