I have snaffled a 2nd iMac (older G3 DV) for hooking up to another imac with the idea of plugging both into a cable router to share the blistering speeds of my ISP . That's all very jolly and looks relatively straightforward but being a novice networker I'd also like to have both print to the same USB printer.

I've looked at Netgear FR114P
http://www.netgear.com.au/products/p...asp?prodID=140
and
Belkin 4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...DkiHuSVu5myuY8
and gone around in ever decreasing circles on a few review sites.

So can anyone recommend a wired cable router with Mac printer server on board that will feed an Epson stylus 740 USB printer? Does such a beast exist?? If not, what is the best way to set up a cable router between two machines sharing the same printer?

Your assistance will qualify you for Networkers Heaven...

Wow! Thanks for your interest everyone - the responses have been overwhelming!! Tell you what, I've just bought the Netgear one so I'll post the results once I've tried to set it all up. These forums are such fun. Admittedly networking is a somewhat dry subject (on a Sahara Desert scale) but it's great to have this space dedicated to post questions and answers to yourself.

Think I'll go and ring myself up and see what I'm doing on the weekend...
