I have been trying to set up my broadband internet from comcast for a little bit now. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I have the cable modem set up correctly, plugged the ethernet cable into the airport extreme WAN input, set up the airport base station for DHCP, and connect. I cannot get anything. I am actually connected right now through someone else's wireless connection in my apartment complex. Am I doing this right? Anyone else with comcast? thanks in advance.

I had several problems with Comcast my first few months, Cable modem kept losing the signal. After having them come out twice, one technician told me that I simply needed a new splitter (to split the signal from the wall to the TV and Modem respectively. He gave me a new splitter (free) and after that I have not had any problems (prior to this I waS calling them on a regular basis, especially on weekends to have them give my Modem a push).

Anyway, I am glad you are up and running. If you find that you keep dropping the signal, try the splitter trick.

Peace,
