The D-Link DWB-120M USB Bluetooth Adapter enables short-range wireless data connectivity between computers and Bluetooth enabled devices. Personal digital assistants, cellular phones, and other devices can connect wirelessly with your Mac. In a nutshell, Bluetooth unplugs your digital peripherals and makes cable clutter a thing of the past.

Bluetooth is an open specification for wireless data transmission that operates on the globally available 2.4GHz radio frequency. Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other within a 30-foot range.

How to add Bluetooth to your Mac

Enabling Bluetooth on your Mac is simple.
Upgrade your Macintosh to Jaguar, OS 10.2.
Plug in the Bluetooth USB Adapter to any available USB port on your PowerBook G4, iBook, PowerMac G4 or iMac (in the case of the PowerMac G4 and iMac, you can attach the Bluetooth USB Adapter to the free USB port on your keyboard).
Launch the Bluetooth preferences to setup Bluetooth-enabled devices within range of your computer.
Select the Bluetooth device on the list and click the Pair button.
Congratulations, you're connected.

Supported Bluetooth Devices
Computers (Mac to Mac)
Bluetooth Enabled Cell Phones
Handheld computers running Palm OS and with Bluetooth Adapters

System Requirements
Mac OS X v.10.2 or later
Available USB Port

Didja notice the forum description for this forum... the one that says that Bluetooth stuff belongs in Peripherals? (That's because Bluetooth is not a networking technology, it's a wireless peripheral interconnect.)

...he asked about using BT to network two machines.

That would be networking.

From what I could gather, anyway.

What's your intended goal here?

Occasional file transfer between the two machines? Internet connection sharing? something else?

If file transfer between the two machines is your goal, get a FireWire cable and use FireWire target disk mode. It's way faster

Bluetooth runs at 768kbps. FireWire at 400mbps

You can connect two machines using FireWire, or USB (not on a Mac, but it can be done), and that doesn't make it networking.

Off to padlock-land it goes! (Since this forum is CLEARLY defined as NOT containing Bluetooth.)
