Has anyone on here tested or tried the Verizon Express Network to get online with their cellphones? I am in an annoying position that at my home I cannot get DSL or cable access, I am often driving around, my girlfriend's house does not have a landline at all, so I'm stuck with very pathetic access to the net.

I realize that with advertised speeds of 70-144kbps the Verizon network is not blazing, but the ability to get online anywhere with my powerbook is a real plus. If it's faster than my absolute POS dialup at home (3k/sec on a good day), I'd be pretty pleased.

It's also far more affordable than all the other providers, allowing you to use your package minutes for voice or data with no real bandwidth limitations. This is a big plus.

I've looked around online pretty extensively and cannot locate any real world experience from actual people. So has anyone on here tried it? If so, what kind of actual speeds do you get downloading files; 3k, 5k, 10k per second?

Hello,

I use Verizon Wireless Express Network with my Powerbook G3, MacOS 9.2.
I connect Kyocera 2325 phone via serial cable and Verizon_STD_driver.
The connection if stable, approximately speed between 60-70kbs.

Best regards.
