I have a rev. D iMac running 10.2.6 and am wondering if I can put an airport card in it?

You could attach an external bridge thing though, and get on the network that way.

Already have the thing on the net. Have it and a new iMac going by ethernet to a switch hooked to the LAN port on the AEBS. Neither of these have airport. Also have wife's brand new iBook connecting wirelessly to the base.

I am new to airport and find the one thing I dislike about it is not being able to disconnect from the net when I want to. The iBook with card can disconnect but the imacs with ethernet have to wait x minutes before the disconnect happens. Would like to have that control. Can get a card for the new imac but that still leaves the rev. D machine. I know I can use the WET 11 but do not know if it will give me this control.

As it is, the whole mess is kind of driving me nuts. Connecting when I open iTunes to play music so I disabled the Music Store. But geeez, connecting when I unstuff an app just because expander has a newer version.....darn. Will get it all figured out, I guess. But am finding I have to think about what I am doing and change the way I do them or I end up on the net and do not even know it.

As you can tell, this is a dial-up connection. Disconnected while I typed the above reply cause I have it set a 5min so I do not stay connected long when done but disconnected before I was done.
