I bought the Orinoco Silver ComboCard thnking it would be the same as the non combo card, it cuse Kernal Panics in 10.2.6 just inserting it. don't get it. Then I tried the Belkin F5D6020 ver 2 PC Card. Well sourceforge and IOXperts only upport v1 of that card. I did use someone's hack to get it to work with the sourceforge drivers and it supports AppleTalk, but the range sucks. I have n iMac DV SE with an airport card running 2 feet from the powerbook and it gets great reception. It even picks up my neighbor's wireless network across the street. I am wondering if the powerbook gets bad range because there is no internal antenn (because it is not airPort compatible) or because the card sucks. I really want to buy a Cisco 350 or 340 card which has OS X driuvers, but I dom't know if the reception will be much better. Any ideas?
