Hey all, I could really use some help with this one. i live in nyc in an apt building--brick.
i have a pb12ae etc. and an extreme basestation i just bought--not antenna version. I have the base station in window of upatairs back apt, and want to use in kitchen of downstairs apt. right now i'm looking at the basestation in the window upstairs--about 25-30 ft away, and i get only one reception bar----it is really slow. any advice on how to extend the range aprt from getting dr. bott antenna, and getting new basestation?

tried switching channels a bit, but didn't seen to help.

--thanks

Sure you plugged in the antenna pigtail thing when you shoved the card into your PB?

Do you have a 2.4 ghz cordless phone.

I find that signal strength is best when you're on the same floor as the base station. Also, orientation might make a difference -- if your signal is stronger in some places downstairs, but not there you want ti to be, try rotating it.
