I am trying to connect to a win2000 server at work, and when I use the connect to server option in OS X (10.2.6) I keep getting an error = -36 message.
Does anyone know what this is, how to solve it?
Peace,

I haven't found the reference I was going to point you to yet, so I tried searching the forums here. OUCH! The search function, er, is not what I expected it to be.
Anyway, look at this thread for what I consider a basic step-by-step guide to networking with Windows machines using Samba. You can also look at the Samba web site for more detailed instructions, though these instructions may be a bit dense for some of us.

Actually I figured the problem out...I am a new employee at the organization, and the server wanted to promt me to change my password...once that was turned off, my mac logged in with no problem.

I was thinking it was an authentication error, but I couldn't find my reference so I couldn't be sure.
Unfortunately, the Samba site doesn't make it easy to look up errors, either.
Congrats on connecting!
