I want to hook my xbox up with my wireless lan and running an ethernet cable from the xbox back to the my wireless router is not an option -- so I need to do it wirelessly. All my net stuff is linksys and I'm happy with it all, so I'd like to stay with linksys. That being said I think I've located 2 possible solutions. I am confused as to which one of these products -- WAP11 and WET11 -- I need to accomplish the task.

Anybody have any suggestions or experience with this? Thanks.

The versatile Wireless Ethernet Bridge can make any wired Ethernet-equipped device a part of your wireless network. At home, use the Wireless Ethernet Bridge to connect game consoles, set-top boxes, or computers into your wireless network to share your high-speed network connection. In the office, convert your Ethernet-wired printer, scanner, camera, notebook or desktop into a wireless networked device.

Yeah I saw that, but the WET11 is 50 bucks more expensive so I wanted to make sure that the WAP11 couldnt accomplish the same task.

The WAP11 absolutely will not do what you want. I don't understand the pricing structure of the two boxes, either, but you want the WET11.
