I bought a Netgear MR814v8 for my home network (2 PCs and 1 Powerbook G4). The router is connected to a desktop PC. Trolling this forum I managed to download updated firmware for the router and can connect from the G4 to the router base (router is connected to Verizon DSL) station, but the connection stays on for less than 30 seconds before dying. I am the only powerbook user in the house and the only one without a network connection. HELP!

Well. It seems to be working now. Since I was randomly trying everything, I'm not a 100% sure of this (and I'm not brave enough to do an experiment here!), but I think turning off bluetooth is what did it.

Bluetooth works in the same frequency band as 802.11b and g. A Bluetooth device close to your computer could easily cause enough interference to break a connection.
