I have a wireless internet connection to my iBook, and a PS2 in the same room as my iBook.
Is there anyway I could connect the PS2 to the iBook and get the internet from the Wireless network?
It is kinda like -

802.11b Router --802.11b link--> iBook --ethernet cable--> PS2.

Would the internet still get to the PS2, or what?
Thanks!

I suppose you could use internet connection sharing through the iBook to the PS2, as you have suggested. I don't know how responsive Internet games will be, though, since you're inserting yet another level of processing between the Internet and your PS2. I'd get one of the ethernet-to-wireless bridge devices from D-Link or Linksys (or others) for this. D-Link's DWL-810 is available for less than $80, and Linksys' WET11 is available for around $100.

Absolutely. That's what these boxes are for.

I had a lot of trouble looking through Sony's site for data on the PS2's network adapter, so I couldn't get specifics about what sort of speeds it runs at, etc. On the other hand, Microsoft's XBox site is crammed with details about networking the green machine.

Since I've seen many networking products advertised as being for either the XBox or PS2, I'm assuming that they are fairly well equivalent in their networking requirements.

Take a look at Linksys' WET11 Pages for information about using the WET11 with a PS2. Linksys also makes an 802.11g wireless bridge called the WET54G-here's more information on it. They even have a product called the WGA11B that is aimed exclusively at connecting game consoles wirelessly.

I couldn't find as much info on D-Link's or SMC's sites, but they also make products like these, and you can find help with setting up their products for game consoles on their support forums.

I have looked around and found an adapter especially designed for the PS2 and 802.11b networks. Here.
I think that'll work
