Hardware:
Mac 9600, 9.2.2 Ethernet cable to router, router by ethernet cable to cable modem.

PC WinXP Pro + wireless card transmitter to (same) router antenna

What's the best software for both machines to "see and talk" to each other and transfer files?

I have tried so far Dave 4.1 on the Mac and PC Maclan 8.1 on the PC. In both cases I find it easier to make the Mac identify the PC. Am I missing something?

You could also use iChat and AIM. Set up an account on each machine and just drage files to the window.
