I have set up the mr814.v2 with no problem (at least the hardwire router connections at this point) and want to update the firmware to version 5.01 (it has 5.0 out of the box). After downloading the .img file from Netgear and clicking on the icon the message appears "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read". Options are to continue, initialize or eject. This type of problem was posted on 6/27 and the solution seemed to be repeated download attempts of the .img file. I've tried about 15 times, but with not luck. Any idea why the .dmg will not open. I have not had problems with other .dmg files in the past.

Thanks

You shouldn't mount the .img you downloaded. It's an image for the router. Just go into the router config in the browser, go to update firmware and select that .img file. It will update without having to mount it. (I just did this update on my friend's router a couple of days ago )

Thanks for the help. I now have the 5.01 version loaded into the firmware. We will be getting a powerbook soon with an airport extreme card, as well as a wireless card for a desktop pc, so hopefully everything will be ready to go. However, if there is a problem I know that this forum is the place to go.

Thanks again -
