I can't determine from perusing these forums if anyone uses this device successfully with an Airport Extreme Card.

Anyone?

I don't see why they couldn't; the 802.11g standard has been published and AirPort Extreme systems closely match those standards. As for whether or not they work well,, that's a question that applies to just about every 802.11g system I've heard about, at least from time to time.

Could you clarify?
So you'd recommend returning the Belkin and getting Apple's Airport Extreme base? BTW I'll have an Airport Extreme card soon.

I personally would NOT buy the AirPort Extreme Base Station. It is overpriced, and has only one LAN side ethernet port. Sure, you can get the model with the built in(dial-up) modem and port for an external antenna (for $50 more), but compared to the competition, all you really get from Apple that you can't get elsewhere is Apple styling, and a $199 or $249 price tag.

SMC offers a new 802.11g wireless router with 4 LAN side ports, dual external antennas standard (improves signal handling with diversity reception), but no built in modem, for $109 at CDW.

Linksys' WRT54G has similar features for almost exactly the same price (at buy.com), but has a $10 rebate.

US Robotics offers 802.11b wireless routers with both print servers and a 9-pin COM port for driving an external modem, and they're about to release an 802.11g model. Both their "B" and "G" products offer 4 ports on the LAN side. Surprise! The USR products are the same price as the SMC and Linksys boxes.
