I can remember which is which... I'm running snort and I want it on the gigabit connection... en0?

Go to Network Utility (in Applications/Utilities) and look on the info tab.

On my TiPB en1 is airport, en0 is Ethernet.

On my iBook;
en0 for built-in Ethernet
en1 for AirPort

On my PowerMac;
en0 for built-in gigabit Ethernet
en2 for AirPort Extreme.
