I've been using two Linksys wireless print servers (usb & parallel port) with a Linksys router.

I changed the router to an Airport Extreme Base Station.
Will I be able to reconfigure the print servers without using a Linksys router?

If someone knows how aI can do this I'd appreciate it.

If they're like all the other Linksys equipment I've seen, you simply configure them with your browser.

The trick is to make sure that you keep up with the default IP addresses, and since you switched to an AEBS, you're going to have to make some changes. The default IP range for an AEBS is 10.0.1.x, while Linksys defaults to 192.168.1.x. Obviously, if you plug the Linksys boxes (figuratively) into a default AEBS network, nothing will work. You have to change the print servers' IP addresses to match the range of the AEBS.

If you still have the Linksys router, plug both printservers and a computer into it. After you computer gets a DHCP address from the router, it will be able to "see" the print servers. Open their configuration pages (192.168.1.78 is the default for both)and change their IP addresses (on the TCP/IP tab). I suggest using something like 10.0.1.201 and 10.0.1.202 for the new IPs-just make sure they're in the 10.0.1.x range.

Once you commit these changes, you won't be able to see the print servers through the Linksys router any more. Tear down this setup, connect your computer via the AEBS, and open the addresses you set in the printservers; you should see their setup pages. If you do, you're done. If not, reset the printserver(s), go back to the previous step and set the IP again.

Thanks for your help.
I actually did the opposite, instead of changing the default IP address from the print servers 192.168.1.x default to the Mac default IP address, I changed the Airport Extreme Base Stations default IP address to 192.168.1.1.

So now even though I do have internet access with the AEBS, I figured I can go into the bi-admin utiilty of the print servers and just change the static IP address by changing the last #.

Shouldn't this have worked?
When I would try to find the print server in the bi-admin utility hard wired to the AEBS it only found it once for a few seconds.

After that I tried numerous times and was unsuccessful.

I'll try your method though.

Changing the base station's IP was the second option, but since both print servers had the same default address, I figured you were at least familiar with that procedure because you were using both on the same network.

I'd plug the servers into the base with Cat5 cable (one at a time) and use their browser interface to change the addresses. Linksys only lists support for PC operating systems; I didn't know there was a Mac version of the Bi-Admin utility.
