I connected my cable modem to an airport station, and I can browse the internet on my laptop via airport.
I also have a Powermac G4 with no airport card. I connected it to the powerbook via Ethernet, and I set up my powerbook to share its airport connection via Ethernet with the Powermac.
The internet connection works.
However:
- the powermac can connect to the powerbook and month its HD.
- the powerbook can NOT see the powermac.

Could it be the Ethernet cable (but it works in one direction!!!)?

Any ideas?

Is Personal File Sharing turned on on BOTH machines?

Try turning on AppleTalk too.

Disconnect the ethernet. Shut down both machines. Reboot.

For some reason, after the last reboot, it worked!
