I have a printer hooked into my Airport Extreme base station. At the moment, as many people have noted to their chagrin, it doesn't appear to work with Windows machines. I have two Macs and a Windows box, all of which need to see the printer. I would prefer to keep the printer plugged into the AEBS, if that is possible.

I had an idea on how to get around the no-Windows-on-AEBS limitation, though. Is it possible to use one of my Macs as a gateway of sorts, to share the networked printer using SMB or LPR or something else that Windows can understand? Would there be any side effects concerning the other Macs on the network?

For that matter, what printer-sharing method does the AEBS use, anyway? I've never been able to find that out.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!
