I know that a Mac equipped with a regular Airport Card will work with Airport Extreme BS only at 11Mb, but will the USB printer sharing work or do I need to have an Airport Extreme Card?
I have an iMac with the original Airport card and the Airport Extreme base station and have been printing to a printer connected to the Airport's USB connection. One warning, if you have upgraded the Airport Extreme to firmware 5.1.1, go to the following link and upgrade to 5.1.3 before printing via the USB connection on the Airport Extreme. Before upgrading to 5.1.1, everything worked perfectly, but after I upgraded, I couldn't print for more than about 3 to 4 minutes after resetting the base station before the Airport could no longer make a connection. Firmware version 5.1.3 seems to have fixed this (I've tested to 4 days without a problem) and made the internet connection more stable.
