I'm totally new to wireless networking. I just put one of these cards in my machine, a G4 TiBook 550Mhz. It detects it all right, but nothing seems configurable.

I've no idea where to go from here. I presume I need to install an Airport Card as well? But if I install an Airport Card, surely there would be no need for the D-Link wireless card?

Totally confused with wireless networking. And yes, I did google and search the forums... any help appreciated. Thanks!

Is the card you're talking about the "DWL-G650?" I spent a lot of time pouring through D-Link's site, and there isn't anything there that would indicate that this card is Mac OS compatible. That could be your problem right there.

I bought one of these cards for a windows laptop just last week - and it didn't work in that either. I installed win2K, which saw the card - but blue screened when I tried to use it. I thought it was just down to windows crap, but now I see this thread its probably a crap card!

Yeah, I think you're right. It's simply not mac compatible at the moment. No drivers available for OSX yet. Wonderful. Watch and wait.
