Hello,
I'm moving to a new area that provides wireless internet service via the motorola canopy wireless technology. This technology is not 802.11b and I know little about it. I have 2 macs with airport cards and a dlink wireless router that serves them off of dsl right now. It works great with no problems. The internet provider, fox valley internet in northwest chicago suburbs, tells me I can do the same thing with no problems with their service.
I was just wondering if anyone has done this and seen interference from the two wireless technologies coexisting side by side ...i.e. like the interference you can get from 2.4 GHz phones as talked about on these forums. Also, if anyone subscribes to an ISP using the motorola canopy wireless platform could you comment on speed and reliability when comparing to cable or DSL.
Thanks.
