I am having difficulty with 333MH iMacs connecting to new OSX machines in my wife's elementary school computer lab. The 333MH iMacs are running OS 9.2.2 and 9.1 and can connect to all of the other computers in the lab running OS9. They can see the OSX machines in the chooser but get an error, "the connection to this server has been unexpectedly broken", when trying to connect. Newer 400-600MH iMacs running OS 9.2.2 with 64MB of ram have no problem connecting to the new eMacs and iMacs running OSX.

The 333MH iMacs have 32MB of RAM and I am suspecting that this is the problem though I can't confirm this without buying more RAM. The system uses 22MB and virtual memory is set to 64MB.

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Well, I discovered the problem was that TCP/IP was not turned on. I turned it on and all is fine.
