Hey,

A standard ethernet cable will do fine - your MDD has a feature called Auto MDI/MDIX that adapts to use any cable.

Then you'll need to enable File Sharing in your Sharing Preference Pane and set an IP on your MDD, and one on your 5300.

I suggest:

MDD:

IP 192.168.1.1
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Router 192.168.1.1

5300 192.168.1.2
Subnet and Router as Per MDD.

Give that a go, or ask if you need more help

Phil.
