I have a client that owns a small print shop. Among his computers is a Powermac G4. Its runs OS X. He has DSL that uses PPPoE. The problem is he needs AppleTalk to print to all his printers, but you can't turn AppleTalk on while PPPoE is turned on. Why is this? Is there a solution to this? Other than getting a router and having every machine just use DHCP to the router, which does its own connecting via PPPoE?

Sounds like a bug. I don't see why you could not use Appletalk encapsulated in PPP. Has anyone seen an AKB article regarding this?
