I went to print a letter on my HP Laserjet 4500 which is wirelessly networked to my Mac with a Linksys wireless print server.

I chose the IP address of the printer, pressed print and walked out of the room.
A few minutes later I walked back towards the room, still hearing printing sounds I was surprised.

I walk into the room and paper is flying out of the printer at an alarming rate, I had to shut off the printer to stop the deluge of paper!

In the end some 80 sheets of paper came out of the printer, all with a few lines of what looks like some kind of code.

Does anyone have any idea what could have gone wrong?

Mayve it was just having a bad day.

Seriously though, I have seen this before with these printers and its usually just a quirk with the priint server not sending info. correctly to the printer. More often then not, resetting the print server does the trick.

Just as a side note, i had the same problem whenver I tried to print to my HP laserjet 4600 out of photoshop. This printer had an internal HP NIC in it. All my other apps printed fine. In any case, I bardly ever print out of phottoshop, so I haven't tried it in a while. Maybe one of the OS Updates fixed it.
