I'm having a really odd problem and I'm not sure if it's my hardware or the network that's causing the problem. Here's the deal, I'm connecting to my dad's DSL service using his AirPort Extreme base station. He also has a signal extender plugged in to the base. Now, I have regular 802.11b AirPort card in my TiBook G4, and every once in a while my computer will just lock up! Nothing will respond, the computer just craps out. Now my computer does not do this on my AirPort network at home, of course it's 802.11b and not g. I thought the first and second generations of AirPort were compatible with the Extreme base stations. See why I think this is really odd?! Any help would be appreciated!

My specs:
TiBook G4 400MHz
512MB 10GB
Mac OS X 10.2.6
AirPort SW 3.1.1

I'm using an iBook 466 w/ AIrport in 10.2.6. The problems I've been having (since upgrading firmware on basestation) is every 24 hours, it drops the internet connection and I have to restart the base station.

Does the whole computer lock up? Can you force quit the application?

Everything locks up. I cannot force quit and my only option is a hard restart/shutdown.
