Which part did you try to update, and what procedure did you use? Client or base station? Wireless to base station or wired? Your post is kind of vague to me.

I tried updating the AE base station wirelessly. Usually when I have an update, I just go to the AE Configuration Utility and automatically asks me if I want to update. This time it doesn't . It brings up the window like it's looking for the file, but the file on the desktop is not one that is highlighted that could be loaded. Any ideas? (I downloaded the update from Apple to my desktop first.)

I am using an Airport Extreme Base Station with a 12" Powerbook.

Try doing a reset on the base station, hooking up by Cat5 cable, then trying the update again. Base stations are sometimes kind of picky about taking updates via wireless.

Again, it's usually best to do a reset on the base station and then connect by cable before attempting to update the firmware. What symptoms are you experiencing, djjava?

no symptoms really. Although after the fimrware update "crashed" the Airport Admin Utility, the Airport menu actually shows "Interference Robustness" in the menu, which was not there before.

I'll try your suggestions tonight when i get home.
