Hopefully this is an easy one, but I couldn't pin it down with a search.

I was informed yesterday that by my system administrator that I wouldn't be able to connect to the server at work or the internet with my iBook, because all in the computers in the office have a Microsoft Proxy Client, and that doesn't exist for Macintosh.

I've tried configuring the TCP/IP to the same settings as on my Windows box, and indeed, no go.

Is there a work around? (running Mac OSX 10.1, and alternatively OS 9 in classic mode).

TIA
