I recently dropped my .mac account and need to use my Comcast acct. The problem I have is that Apple's mail program will not send any mail. It also only receives "some" of my mail.
Does anyone know the exact settings for Comcast?
I tried to get Apple to let me have .Mac for $69 since I bought a new Mac in June and am a student (although a 35 yr old one) they told me no, I had to buy .mac with the new mac. So I had to cancel. I wanted to keep it but the funds are not there right now.

haven't you tried looking on comcast's site? every major ISP should have settings for POP/IMAP sending and receiving from email clients like entourage and mail. If you're having trouble sending, it probably means you need to enable authentication.
rtfm.

Here in Boston, settings are pretty straightforward:
Incoming: mail.comcast.net, password authentication, default port (110)
outgoing: smtp.comcast.net, no SSL or authentication, default port (25)
I just got Comcast HSI (yeah) and am wondering which mail program I want to use.
Comcast offers it web-based email as the main option. That is kinda nice since you can use it from any computer. I have not used it enough to figure out if I like it or if i should use the osx mail application or some other program.
Any experiences good or bad with comcast and the various ways to access it??
