My son connected to Xbox live by turning on internet sharing on his FP iMac which is connected via Airport. He plugged in the Xbox via ethernet cable.
This worked fine until we installed Panther. Now the Xbox cannot get connected at all.
If we connect the Xbox directly to the Base Station, it connects.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Just to let you know it must be something with Panther because my husband still has Jag on his iBook and the Xbox live connects fine with internet sharing.
Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, confirmed. This sucks...hopefully either Apple or Linksys (WGA11B Wireless Game Adapter) can remedy this problem...

My iBook (airport internet) connects to my PS2 via ethernet and my PS2 will no longer connect to the internet
I dont think ICS is working, at least when sharing an airport connection over ethernet.

Someone said that the AE BS still works with Internet Sharing and Panther.
Can anyone confirm this? I am using a snow BS.
This doesn't quite make sense to me.

Im having exactly the same problem, but i share directly via ethernet.
In 10.2.6 I was connecting my xbox to my imac via ethernet, (imac connected to the net via a usb modem).
Sharing worked automatically with all settings set to auto on both the xbox and the imac. It was great.
Ive now upgraded to panther and it simply wont work out of the box.
I had to turn off dhcp and assign a static ip address to my ethernet port and xbox, and then enter the isps dns server addresses manually into the xbox settings.
But now it says cannot connect to gateway, as it wants a manual gateway address, which I cannot give it (ie 0.0.0.0 wont work).
I suspect this is an inherent problem in panther. Too much reliance on network browsing.
If there is no is no fix for this I will be forced to downgrade to jaguar.
Any ideas anyone?

Can anyone help me out with this?
I've been trying to get internet sharing with my xbox plugged into my iBook working but have had no luck. The link to the apple discussion page from the previous poster also seems to be dead now.
