Hey everyone,

Question regarding what wireless hardware to get.. I currently have a Linksys DSL/Cable router serving my G4 and a couple of PCs. The G4 in turn serves wireless to my iBook through Internet Sharing and an Airport card. I want to buy some dedicated wireless hardware now, but I noticed that the Linksys wireless router and wireless access point are the same darn price -- $60 bucks for either from newegg.com.

My question, I'd love to have the extra ports on the router WITHOUT losing my current router. Is this possible? Can I hook up two routers and have one work soley as a switch/WAP? It seems ridiculous to me to spend the same for less functionality..

Thanks!

Not sure about linksys, but I have two netgear routers set up. One is the primary router and the other is used as an extra access point.

The nice thing is that I can plug into the access point if I need to transfer big files that would take too long with airport.

Seems worthwhile to have the extra functionality to me.
