Totally new to this... I had Comcast cable modem installed today. Added a NetGear MR814v2 Wireless Router and connected my G4 733 PowerMac-OS X 10.2.6 (hardwired) and my TiBook G4 867-OS X 10.3 (airport).
Everything seems to be operating fine so far but I'm concerned about security. Is there an adequate built-in Firewall in the NetGear router or do I need to turn on Mac OS X's firewall? And if I do need to use OS X's firewall - do I need to turn it on in both systems?

Just having anything (MR814, in your case) between your computer(s) and the internet is a big bonus. Turning on the firewall is even better. Each machine needs its own firewall.
