File Sharing doesn't work through Airport

This is strange. It has been very easy to share files between my IMac and IBook through an Airport network. The IMac runs OS 10.2.7 and the IBook runs 10.2.8. Lately I have tried to join the network with another IBook which runs 10.3 (Panther), no luck. The Panther IBook does not recognize the network and thus I cannot share any files. Any suggestions>

How is the network set up? Open or closed, password or no, etc. Use Airport Admin Utility to check it out. What about the Panther iBook? What are its network settings?
