Does anyone have an experiences with the Linksys WAP11 802.11b Wireless Access Point? Is it good? How is the range?

I'm thinking of setting up a wireless network in my house for my family's laptops...

Anyone have any suggestions for WAPs? I don't need/want a wireless router/switch, I have a wired network all set up with such things.

I have an original model WAP11 that has faithfully served me for two and a half years. It's been reliable, and it's easy to use and configure. The range has been quite good; I can surf anywhere in my house, and in most of my yard as well.

I have never tried anything like using AppleTalk through it, since I went all-TCP/IP before I got the WAP, but it handles everything else quite well. I am disappointed that it doesn't have a firmware update to implement WPA security yet, and there isn't one in sight, but I still hope one will be produced.
