Hey. No idea why this isn't working as it's something I've done in the past and has worked.

I edited my sshd_config file to have ssh on port 2222 instead of 22.. uncommented the line. Restarted the daemon.

Still won't pick up on port 2222.

Still picks up on port 22.


It's as if it's ignoring the sshd_config file.

/etc/sshd_config is the correct file, yes?

I'm sure it's just something stupid I'm doing but can't for the life of me figure out what.

Any help would be greately appreciated.

/etc/sshd_config is the config file for ssh1, not ssh2 which is the default SSH version.

Try editing /etc/ssh2/ssh2_config instead.

Thanks, but there is no ssh2/sshd_config file present in /etc.
