OK, just went out and bought a router to share my internet connection on my PowerBook.

Ive connected the cable from my modem to router, cable from router to PC and from router to PowerBook, ran the wizard on the PC and configured the router, but the PowerBook (Using DHCP) won't pick up the info (IP, Subnet mask, router).

Im not sure what to ask really...im sure its all connected properly, but the Network Status on the PowerBook says 'Ethernet Cable not connected'.

Have you tried the same cable/port that the PC is using? Maybe flip them and see if the still PC works?

Go to the Mac Network Prefs. Hit the PPPoE tab and make sure PPPoE is NOT enabled. Then go to the TCP/IP tab and make sure it is set to Ethernet and DHCP.
