I wish to share my internet connection (via airport) to my Windows XP Home Machine, these machines are linked via an ethernet cable.
What steps do I need to follow to allow my XP box share my iBook internet connection?

Thanks!

I'm a little unclear on what you want to do. You have the two computers connected via an ethernet cable-are you currently sharing your Internet connection this way? Is there a problem with sharing this way? Do you want to simply do away with the cable?

Turn on Internet Sharing on the iBook, and set the XP box for DHCP. You don't even need a crossover cable - the iBook has an autosensing Ethernet port.

I'm curious, with a configuration such as this, what will it do to the internet/network latency on the PC (getting the internet from the mac)? Will it affect it at all?

It probably affects it slightly, but the iBook is plenty fast enough to pass the packets with no noticeable addition to the latency or the connection speed.
